Yesterday, we spent the whole day at the pool! I actually felt great and loved getting some sun on my pale body! My belly is starting to get a bit bigger (not sure if I look pregnant or look like I ate too many doughnuts?). Not that I even like doughnuts, but you know what I mean. Love relaxing. Chad loved doing back flips into the pool. We are going back for another fun-filled day at the pool. The sun is shining bright! Happy Memorial Day!
After lots and lots of searching store websites, I think I picked the baby's bedding! It is crazy that in a little less than 17 days, we are going to know if we are having a boy or a girl! Chad and I are pretty sure of the names too!! We decided (even though it is going to be VERY hard for me) that we are not telling anyone what we are having until the day of my shower! We'll see if I can hold off until September to share the exciting news! Well, here are the baby bedding pics that we have picked...
So now that Chad is out of school for the year (I cannot believe it went by so fast!), I am trying to get him to do a few projects around the house before he leaves (and I leave too) for the summer. This week, he took apart the twin bed that was in our extra bedroom and moved it over to the craft room. He took tons of teaching boxes and junk boxes down the basement and I moved most of my craft containers/drawers all in the craft room/now extra bedroom closet. Now, the soon to be baby’s room is free of furniture, beds, and boxes! When we come home after summer break, I will already be in my 3rd trimester and probably bringing home lots of baby things. I am sure I will not be able to stop myself from shopping this summer! Chad will be going to his parents sometime next week to set up the electric dog fence (thank goodness they will not be on chains the whole summer). I need to pack my craft stuff for him to take with him. I haven’t had the time or energy to do anything crafty lately. Maybe in a few weeks?
Wow! So it has been a few weeks since I have written a blog. A lot has been going on! Pregnancy is SO exciting, but very tiring! I cannot believe how tired and icky I feel EVERYDAY! There are so many things I need to get done in less than a month before I leave for Maryland. If only I felt a little better. I LOVE taking naps in the middle of the day. My car is my new bed. I have a blanket and alarm set on my phone all ready to go for my break each day. Some days (well most of them) I wish I did not have to go to work. I actually took off today to rest! This Sunday, I have to go to work. They auctioned me off for a day to take care of kids for a few hours. My themed party is Puppy Pals. We will be making lots of treats for the kids’ dogs at home. I have a boat load of stuff I need to buy. Doing any errands after work is SO hard. All my body wants to do is SLEEP!
This weekend, we all went to King Family Vineyard in Crozet. It was such a beautiful evening. The mountain views were gorgeous. Would LOVE to have this view in my backyard. (Wishful thinking if we end up in NYC)
Yesterday, I took my class to Maple Hill Farm where music artist Dave Matthew's organic farming operation is based. The children had so much fun collecting eggs from the chicken coop and planting tomatoes. I think the poor chickens are resting today after being chased around by 25 preschoolers! It was a beautiful day!
